Anna Cumbow

Hi! I’m Anna, and I’m glad you’re here!

Whether you are looking for info related to one of the various conditions we’ve managed to inherit at our house (check out our About Us page!), reviews of products, or just amusing yourself on the site, my hope is that you will gain a little bit of insight and stop by regularly to be a part of our growing community.

Aside from being a mother, I also have my own health journey that may be helpful to you or someone you know. I have an inherited connective tissue disorder known as Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. A good deal of the body involves connective tissue, and when it is faulty…bad things happen all over the place. I would like to share with you some of my own experience with EDS and the experiences of some of my fellow travelers. Maybe it will encourage you on your own journey, or help you to help others you know who are battling an invisible disease like EDS.

My background is in sociology, psychology, marriage and family therapy, and religion. Mostly, I know a lot of things I don’t want to do when I grow up. 😉 I do, however, like to raise children (ok – most of the time, anyway!), build websites, do research, and write. That makes a pretty good combination for blogging, so here I am! I have been building websites, working in PR, small business administration and advertising, and social media for about 10 years. As an author, I have two books available – the most recent being The Advent Guide which offers ideas for celebrating Christmas with young children.

Thanks for stopping by BEINGmomME!

    • Thanks! I look forward to reading more about your BASE jumping past and balancing life with kids! I’m off to build a snowman before all the snow melts. Crazy spring so far!

  2. Ah, yeah our last snowman just melted so we moved up to the mountains for Easter. Beautiful weather and still good snow conditions, teaching the kids to ski:-)
